Vivenne Westwoods inspriation seems as though it could of originated from the Geisha Girl which she has taken and re created in her own way. We are going to use this makeup idea in a few of our own shots. I think painted Ayeshas face white will look very effective since her skin in dark and will bring in the aspect of race. This also relates back to the post I did a few weeks back on a French issue of Vogue where they had a white model and painted her black. Very striking and shocking image which was extremly compelling.
